9:00 – Breakfast at the hotel. 09:30 - Sightseeing guided tour about Minsk – the capital of Belarus (short tour, 1.5 hours, ) We explore some of the key sights of Minsk, find out about its past and present. We visit Independence Square and Independence Avenue with its collection of Stalinist buildings, Victory Square and the Island of Tears, a monument to the fallen soldiers in the Soviet campaign against Afghanistan, the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, as well as the old town. Minsk has several impressive churches and cathedrals that are well worth visiting, Saint Simon and Helen Cathedral, Virgin Mary Catholic Cathedral, Holy Spirit Cathedral among them. We’ll see the National Library and Minsk City Gates. 11:00 – Visiting World War II Museum in Minsk 13:30 – lunch at one of the restaurants in Minsk 14:30 – Stalin Line Tour. Transfer to the Loshany village (32 km) – the nearest locality to the open-air museum. In the 30’s of past 20th century a network of defense military fortifications was built on the former western border of the Soviet Union. In those days that border was located just 40 km far from Minsk. All this network of defense installations is also known as the “Stalin line”. “Stalin line” tour offers a guided walk past the concrete bunkers (cannon and machine-gun pillboxes, trenches, tank obstacles and a restored section of the old border line. The excursion can be concluded with a prearranged tank ride. You can also shoot war-time machine gun (blank rounds, of course). The tour is accomplished by a local museum’s guide dressed in military Soviet uniform and translated into English/Chinese. You can also view and take pictures of any species of military and engineering techniques used before and while WWII and after: tanks, airplanes and helicopters, antiaircraft weapons, ferry line, tank hooks, even a replica of missile that was used to launch the first man into space in 1961… Stalin Line museum is the biggest Belarusian open-air museum of military weapons and techniques. If you want to see a war-time battle reenactments which are quite popular at Stalin Line museum on special occasions, please, don’t hesitate to ask about the schedule. We can also arrange tours dedicated to special occasions at the museum. 16:30 - Take off back to Minsk Free time in Minsk. Visiting shopping malls (GUM, Stolitsa) offering wide range of Belarus made goods: souvenirs, lingerie, knitwear, flax garments, confectionary, alcoholic beverages etc. 19:00 – 21:00 - Visiting Ballet or Opera performance at the National Opera and Ballet Theater in Minsk (by request) Overnight at the hotel.
9:00 – Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 Tour to the History Park “Sula” – 49 km far fr om Minsk History Park «Sula» is located in the small village of Sula in the Stolbtsy district, Minsk region. Sula is a beautifully restored old mansion with picturesque surroundings: gentry’s manor constructions, a three-hundred year-old park of rare plants that were once brought from distant countries, a pond with stone-paved paths and benches forged and not only this... The site offers great leisure and insightful opportunities for the tourists. One can get real understanding of the 10 000-years-long history of Belarusian lands by taking part in a real action entertainment tour. Everyone gets involved into a real action entertainment tour dedicated to specific activities throughout the 10 000 history of local lands. Excursion includes: Festive meeting at the entrance gate with horse escort and live music. Heading to the central square, wh ere the tour starts. Visiting the megalithic culture dolmen site, the site of paganism and the pagan site for worships – kapische. Carrying out the rite of purification by fire. Visiting the Vikings’ landing place, ride on a Vikings boat “Drakkar” on the river. Meet the medieval quarter: the history of the castle, which is under reconstruction, splitting stones by the master and guests, visit gunsmith to forge an amulet (an arrow tip). Journey to the XV-XVII century, the era of nobility: Gentry Hall of Fame, an exhibition of weapons, entertainment "Charca on lyaze" (2-3 participants). Visit Brewery - tasting alcoholic beverage "Stark" – produced in Sula. Practicing gentry dance, visiting the museum. Visiting the prison cellar, Central and South-Eastern towers, and Burial Vault Church of the Svyatopolk-Mirski’s family. 12:30 – lunch at the restaurant «Knyazheski Dvor» (The Duke’s Court) 13:00 – 16:00 transfer Mir-Brest (350 km) 16:00 – 18:00 – visiting memorial complex “Brest fortress” – one of the most important sights in Belarus, dates back to the 19th century and became a key symbol of Soviet resistance in World War II. A guided tour about the Museum of Defense and the main attractions of the memorial complex: the sculptural composition «Thirst», the White Palace, Ceremonial Square. With Memorial Plates, the Bayonet-Obelisk, the Engineering Administration, St. Nicholas Garrison Church, the sculptural composition «To the Heroes of the Border, Women and Children, who Stepped into Immortality with Courage» 18:20 – arrive at the hotel in Brest Free time. 9:00 – Breakfast at the hotel Check-out. A guided sightseeing tour about Brest - one of the oldest cities in Belarus with millennium history. This is a city which was being destroyed and revived from the ashes not just once. Frontier location of the town significantly influenced his fate. During our tour, you will know the part of which countries Brest had been throughout its history and how it influenced the life of the city and its inhabitants. You will get to know to the old and the new Brest: you’ll walk through the King's, the Polish, the Jewish Quarter. You’ll see the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Freedom Square, etc. On request: visiting the «Rescued Artistic Values Museum», or the Railway Museum. 11:00 – 12:00 – Transfer Brest – Belavezhskaya Puscha (National Nature Park), 60 km A key tourist attraction of Belarus, Belavezhskaya Pushcha National Park is what’s left of the primeval forest which used to stretch from the Baltic Sea to the Buh River and from Odder to the Dnieper River. Belovezhskaya Pushcha became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. In 1993 it was granted UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status. 12:00 – Arrive at the main entrance of the National Park. Tour about the Museum of Nature, representing the richest collection of flora and fauna on the territory of Belarus. 13:00 – Lunch at one of the restaurants or cafes on the territory of the National Park. 14:00 – 17:00 A guided sightseeing tour about Belavezhaskaya Puscha and tour about Ded Moroz (Father Frost, local analogue to Santa Claus) Manor. 17:30 – take off to Brest Railway Station or back to Minsk (on request: dependent on future tour schedule)
